The travel bug probably bit me, pretty unknowingly, as I travelled to different parts of the country with my parents, even before I had turned 15. The foodie in me came to the forefront, as I was made the guinea pig for my mom\’s innovative, hybrid and nutritious recipes. The craze for movies however, has been a recent development, with a couple of friends, being the partners in crime!

I had been maintaining a diary of sorts and writing in magazines and newspapers for quite some time. I also tried my hand at writing short stories, inspired from real life experiences and got good feedback from friends and family. So after trying my luck in the Science and Commerce faculty (Engineering and MBA Finance), I decided to venture in Arts (writing a regular blog). And one fine day, the blog was up and functional.

In 31 years, I have been to the wonder of the world (Taj Mahal), have witnessed the absolutely magical diamond ring phenomena during the solar eclipse on a Diwali morning in Himachal Pradesh, have been mesmerised by snow clad Rohtang pass in the Himalayas 40 kms away from the Pak border as a kid, have been to the picturesque tea gardens of Munnar, have witnessed the selfless service by the Magsasay awardee couple of Dr. Prakash and Dr. Manda Amte and their extended family in trying circumstances, have tasted the testing thrill of adventure sports, had some breathtaking moments during a turbulent monsoon visit to the sea fort of Janjira, captured the riches of one of the world\’s richest person of his time –The Nizam of Hyderabad, and have experienced a relatively chilled lifestyle, pun intended, closer home in Nashik!!

My mom always have had this urge to prepare and offer innovative and healthy recipes, which I relished. Having stayed away from home for almost a decade now, gave me the freedom to try out even more different dishes and cuisines. It definitely helped that I was staying at a place like Pune, which is famous for its love for all kind of food.

The movie experience, has always thrilled me, being an audio visual medium, and things like 3-D and surround sound making it even more realistic! From war movies (Darkest hour) to out and out romantic ones ( Jab We Met), to romcoms (Kal Ho Naa Ho), to inspirational ones (Chak de India, Shawshank Redemption), to thriller and suspense (Now You See Me, Andhadhun) to regional movies in my mother tongue Marathi to regional movies that I don\’t know even a single word of!!!

As I pen down my journey and the stops enroute, I promise to bring to you new experiences, perspective and keep you entertained. Thanks for stopping by and reading this far! Cheers!
