Luka Chuppi khelte hai… Ready kya? Well almost …!! Movie Review!!

There has been a burst of two types of movies in the recent past, one is marriage related and the other biopic! This belongs to the first kind.

I am actually really very sceptical about watching so called Bollywood comedy movies, precisely because I don\’t find them comic enough. But thankfully enough this was a pleasant surprise, without being laden with cringy, silly and slapstick humour at all!!

According to me it is not a laugh riot per se, but it will make you smile all the way. Be it the responses by the local village crowd to the live in relationships trend that is coming up or the situational comedy scenes. Cinematography is superb too from the aerial views to the age old architectures in the City of Gwalior.Songs are few and far between and and not too interrupting. It started to get a little unsettling with the repeated non successful attempts of an actual marriage. The last sort of a monologue (something which immortalised him in the movie which all of us know of!!) by Kaartik about the live in relationship as a whole and society\’s outlook towards it sort of makes up for it.. But the sudden change of Kriti\’s father\’s approach at the end is unnerving and unfitting for a decent movie like this..!!

Kartik Aaryan is probably now the brand ambassador of the \”प्यार मे फसे हुए लडके\” class. Hope he doesn\’t get typecast with these roles. Nonetheless, he has blended to perfection. The cuteness, the genuineness, the flashing smile and the occasional irritation are also adorable. The parts played in these movies are all characters that we see more or less in our daily lives. So probably it comes naturally to them, but even then you need to have emotions on your face unlike some bollywood superstars. You know whom I am talking about! The emotions when a guy starts to get in a a relationship for the first time and the situations that he has to face have been played well. Kriti plays the role of a bold Delhi educated daughter of a Sanskriti Rakshak father cum politician, who looks pretty and is emotive. Vinay Pathak gets into the skin of her dharma and sanskriti rakshak father. Pankaj Tripathi\’s character starts to get a bit irritating after a while with his repetitive style..

So don\’t come searching for me if you don\’t like this one.. Lukka chuppi khelna padega 😂😂
