Me and another food critical friend of mine went to this place on a sunday morning.
Ambience: Pleasing
Crowd: Most tables were vacant
Order: Unlimited breakfast buffet for two after a fellow customer suggested it to us when we were in a dilemma.
Service: Kind of slow/ unintelligent. Once chutney/sambar is ordered, shouldn\’t it be checked whether both of us require it. Only a single bowl of each was served every single time. The waiter was interested in cleaning the plate rather than asking for another serving even after just the initial serving. The place wasn\’t crowded either, so can\’t put the blame on the hustle. Simple things, but go a long way in creating an impression!!!
The sambar as well as the coffee was dripping on the outside of the container. The plate was too small for all the things kept in it and the sambar could have easily spilled on my clothes. The same can be confirmed in the pictures. Definitely not pleasing to the eyes and is uncomfortable.
Taste : The idli was almost melt in the mouth. The medu and batata wada were crispy. The batata in the wada was mashed nicely and was pleasingly spicy. Upma was normal. Sheera was not the typical south indian style with all the spices and the essence that they put in south indian places in Pimpale saudagar, which I don\’t like. Also it was sweet enough. Sambar had a different taste, hot-tangy-sweet one, probably because of tamarind.
Price : Rs 130 per person, coffee included. Decent deal
