This trailer was pulling me towards the multiplex since the first time that I saw it!
Not many movies stand up to the promise that their trailers deliver…!However, this one is an exception. Now-a-days, it has become a fashion to uncover the story as if someone is narrating it and this movie is no different… In that sense alone though!! There are some extremely witty dialogues with play on words, which is my personal favourite. And all this without any cheap and crass dialogues, which have now become a trend. All the songs are worth humming and already featuring in the top 20 charts. The songs are few and do not meddle with the storyline. Shahid Kapoor is the 100 watt bulb of this film and his facial expressions lighten it up. The decor lamp is Shraddha Kapoor and complements him well. The Pyaar ka Punchnama wonder Divyendu Sharma delivers dialogues with a blank face and his character is as romantic and senti as ever… There have been some power packed court room battle build ups and sequences in the recent past… Oh my God, Mulk and Pink which tops it all! However, the court arguments go helter skelter in this movie.. The closing comment by the central character of the case (Divyendu\’s character Tripathi) is mostly emotional rather than factual. Also although other complaint cases are nicely used to built up the case by the prosecutor, they are referred to directly in the verdict and no where in between. Just shouting at the top his voice doesn\’t make some of Shahid\’s arguments, which are without much substance, any more effective! And yes, the excessive use of thehra and bal is extremely irritating!!! Director Shree Narayan Singh comes up with another social issue based and nicely woven film after Toilet : Ek Prem Katha! Cinematography is all courtesy the picturesque Uttarakhand!!
The film also goes to show what can be acheived if the breaking news hungry media is put to good use for the common man of this country!!
