Review : Better Late than Never.. I am talking about the review that is, and not the climax of the movie!! 😀
The movie handles a very serious and a probably hitherto unexplored topic, which is relevant in today\’s stressful and burdened life!! As has been the history, it is customary for our bollywood movies to make cheap stuff and pathetic dialogues out of anything remotely related to sex. However, this movie stands out!!
The shyness, uneasiness and the lack of confidence makes itself felt in Mudit, played wonderfully by none other than Ayushman Khurana. Bhumi Pednekar, in her 2nd offbeat movie after Toilet- Ek Prem Katha, makes her presence felt as the dashing, outgoing and the confident to-be-wife! She tries to do all that she can to instill hope and confidence in the diffident Mudit, so as to make the marriage happen and work things out. The movie is shortish and nicely paced, with a very less number of short songs. Except for a few scenes like the one where Ayushman jumps from one cable car to another running in the opposite direction, the movie is very much a realistic and practical one, and keeps one engrossed and entertained at the same time. The movie minutely explores the budding relationship between a to-be-couple.
While leaving the cinema hall, you will definitely feel like I did, that you have should have watched the movie with THE ONE, in case you didn\’t !!
After watching the movie, one gets an idea about how the life of the couple involved in a marriage is set to change! So you cant say you weren\’t WARNED!
SHUBH MANGAL, SAVDHAAN!!!
