Tirangi Rassa Misal…

However disappointing the earlier tried misal joints are, the misal lover in me can\’t resist trying a new one! So here I was, to a newly opened place near my new residence.

The menu is limited to misal and accompaniments. There are cheese and paneer variants (variants which have come up for every dish now.. I am waiting for a paneer bhakri and cheese bhakri now…just kidding😂😂😂), and a Mastani variant (which was illusory, like the real life Mastani).

Although I reached at around 10.15am, the paav was still in the bakery and someone was dispatched to a shop to bring it on my plate. And the jalebi seemed like yesterday\’s. The special misal has curd, jalebi and fried papad as a top up on the regular misal. As the name suggests, there are three kinds of rassas, one a bit spicy — Kolhapuri (according to them), the other one kokani medium spicy, and the third one with Kaala masala. The gravy is served separately and the matki along with farsan is served in another bowl. The paav are soft and fluffy.

Service is decent. Ambience is average. 80 rupees is a decent deal for the dish. Rest you can make out from my pics and the ones already there on the Zomato page!! Neither a huge fan nor an expert of taking pics from different angles and modes when there is good food waiting in front of you…
